General Questions
Do I need an appointment?
For most services, no appointment is necessary. Walk-ins are always welcome during business hours. For wedding dress alterations or large projects, an appointment is recommended so we can give you our full attention.
How long do alterations take?
It depends on the complexity of the work. Simple hems and minor adjustments can often be completed within a few days. More involved alterations, suit tailoring, or wedding dress work may take 1-4 weeks or more. We'll always give you a clear timeline when you drop off your garment.
How much do alterations cost?
Pricing varies based on the specific work needed. We're happy to provide a free assessment and quote when you bring in your garment. We pride ourselves on affordable, transparent pricing.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash and all major credit cards.
Suit Alterations
Can you alter a suit I bought online?
Absolutely. We alter suits from any retailer, whether you bought it at a local store, online, or elsewhere.
How should a suit fit?
A well-fitted suit should feel comfortable and look sharp. The jacket shoulders should align with your natural shoulders, the sleeves should show about half an inch of shirt cuff, and the trouser break should be minimal to moderate. Bring it in and we'll advise you for free.
Can you make my suit more modern/slim?
Yes. We can taper jackets and trousers, shorten lengths, and update other cuts for a more contemporary silhouette.
Wedding Dress Alterations
When should I bring in my wedding dress?
We recommend your first fitting 2-3 months before your wedding date. This allows time for multiple fittings and any adjustments needed.
How many fittings will I need?
As many as it takes. We include multiple fittings with every wedding dress alteration — typically 2-3 visits — and we won't consider the job done until you're completely happy with the fit.
Can you alter any style of wedding dress?
We work with all styles — A-line, ballgown, mermaid, sheath, and more. We also handle veils, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride gowns.
Should I bring my wedding shoes and undergarments to fittings?
Yes! Bring the exact shoes and undergarments you'll wear on your wedding day. This ensures the hem work and fit will be perfect.
